Q:
How do I remove the protective cover on the XLR / 1/4" inputs of my Tascam 2488? They look like they would prevent anything from being plugged into the inputs.
A:
As of May 2005, Tascam says these are new connectors with built-in dust covers. The covers are not removable, but swing inward when a connector is inserted into the inputs. You do not need to remove any part of the covering, your XLR and 1/4" inputs will plug in as normal.
