Pro Audio Support

Q:
How to split a concert recording in ProTools into seperate files to burn a CD.

A:
We'll start with a Stereo Audio Track with the recording on it.

First split the audio region into seperate tracks by:
-Moving the cursor in the audio file to the point at which the new track should start.

-Then choose Edit>Seperate Region (command-E).

(This is a good time to give each region a name, even if they're simply "track01", "track02"...etc.)

Next export each region in the edit window out as seperate files:
-Select the regions to export, either in the edit window or the Audio Regions List
-From the pull down menu in the Audio Regions List choose "Export Selected as Files"
-Export as a file format your burning program accepts, usually AIFF or WAV, Stereo Format, 16 bit, and 44100 Sample Rate.

Last import these files into your CD burning software. Set their spacing to 0 sec. and burn.
