Q:
My audio levels max as soon as I hit record with no input signal, ir other record problems.
 
A:
go to:
C:/ ProgramFiles / Cakewalk / Sonar(whichever version folder)
Find a file called aud.ini

Delete this file.

Restart Computer

This will fix many Sonar, and Cakewalk HS Problems
