My VST plug-in "ProteusX" works standalone but cannot work in my Sonar Producer or Sonar Studio

In one case this problem was solved by changing the
Sonar Driver Type to "ASIO" ( It had been set to WDM)

This can be found in Sonar Options Audio Advanced

Under Driver Type.
