Automation has unexpectedly stopped functioning in ProTools.

First, confirm that in Windows>Automation, Suspend isn't enabled.

It's possible to Suspend Automation on a track by track basis by Command-Clicking the Track View selector when the track is set to Volume View.

Note: Option-Command-Clicking will disable it for all tracks. (Mac)
