DP5.12 changed the way the it names the files. While this function makes those files more compatible with other applications, they need to be converted to open in an earlier version of DP, including earlier versions of DP5.

You'll need to do a Save As and in addition to saving the project to the older format, choose "Duplicate Audio". This will save the audio files without extensions which is required for DP5.11 or earlier.
