Q:
Tip on caring for touch screens.
A:
"I've been using a Korg Trinity for a few years now and I'm wondering whether there is anything I can do to prolong the life of the touch screen? I haven't had any problems, but I'd rather not have any in the future."Most touch screens are surprisingly durable. We've seen very, very few problems with the Korg units (both Trinity and Triton). It's generally a good idea to keep your hands relatively clean when you use it (this is also true of the other controls and the keys of the keyboard - it makes a big difference in the long run), and of course like any display you want to avoid hitting it too hard as it may crack. Some users employ a blunt instrument like a pen to operate these. We STRONGLY recommend against that.Keep the display clean by wiping it off regularly with a soft cloth. Do not use cleaners, especially abrasive ones. If there is a stubborn stain or something you should try a slightly moist cloth first. If that doesn't work use a mild soap and water solution. Mainly just be careful and use common sense. The screen should last a long time.
