Q:
Hard Drives K2000 Incompatibilities with Fujitsu hard drives

A:
Some Fujitsu drives have problems with the 2000 because of a jumper setting. They are set to "enable synchronous mode transfer". To work with the 2000 they need to be set to "disable synchonous mode transfer".

On the 261 series drives, there is a set of jumpers next to the termination resistor block labelled CNH1. The jumper connects pins 4 & 5. It needs to be moved to connect 5 & 6.

It appear that you have one of the 262 series drives. The jumper configuration may be different, or it may be an entirely different problem, but it is worth checking this out.
