Q:
Loading Files From An External MIDI Command
A:
Create a Macro File that contains all of the Loading information that you need. Go to MASTER - OBJECT - DUMP and select that Macro.
Dump the Sys-Ex of the Macro to the device that is going to store and later send this Load Command. Your device should be Recording this Sys-Ex Command as a small MIDI File. While still in MASTER - OBJECT - DUMP and while the desired Macro is still selected, press the Right Cursor Arrow once to dump a special “Macro Execute” Sys-Ex Command that will later tell the K2000 to execute the currenly loaded Macro. Your device should be Recording this Sys-Ex Command as a small MIDI File. Now whenever you want to initiate a Load from MIDI you simply send the desired Macro to the K2000 as a Sys-Ex File, then send the “Macro Execute” Sys-Ex File to initiate the loading process. This is a very powerful way of doing MIDI controlled loading as the Macro can do many loads from several sources all on the same command. Info: John Teele YCRDI 12/16/94 |
