The software compensates for this problem, but in extreme cases-- when all tracks are in use and the playback period is longer than the calibration cycle, the problems still appeared on occasion. To avoid potential data loss we moved these drives to the not recommended list. *These drives require the “disconnect” command option with Digidesign’s HD Formatter application IMPORTANT: Session 8 PC requires an external drive that is jumpered/configured for a Macintosh SCSI Bus.
