ADAT INTERFACE

Check in the DAE folder to see if there is a folder named “DAE Extentions”, not just “Extentions”. If the folder is incorrectly named rename it making sure there is only one space in-between DAE and Extentions.

There is a specific order in which to turn your system on. It is as follows:
1.Adat(s)
2.Adat interface
3.ProTools Interface
4.Then boot ProTools

Be sure the Adat is set to internal sync. Press and then .

CABLE ROUTING:

1. Looped Adat Sync cables from Adat interface to / from Adat(s)
(for multiple adats see Adat manual for correct sync cable connections)
2. Looped Midi cables from Adat Interface to / from Midi Interface
3. Looped BNC cables from Adat Interface (audio sync in and out) to / from Audio Interface. (careful not to use word clock out on Adat Interface it’s right next to the sync out.)
4. Looped optical cables from Adat Interface to / from Adat(s)
(for multiple adats see Adat manual for correct optical cable connections)
5. 25 pin from the Audio card to the Adat interface “Computer” connector.
6. 25 pin from Adat interface to Audio Interface.

SOFTWARE

1. Under the menu choose check the serial port that your midi interface is set to. (Modem or printer)
2. Under the menu choose and check next to Adat and assign it to the serial port in which the Midi interface is connected to.
3. In the “Transport” window in click on the little clock icon in the top left corner to put it “on line” (the clock should blink blue). Then be sure that “Transport = Pro Tools” found directly under the transport controls.
