When the X5 comes from the factory it's default Program Change format (found on page 2D in the Global mode) is set to "NUM". This format allows the X5 to recieve and send Program Change messages but not MIDI Bank Select messages. The correct Program Change format for using the X5 with your Freestyle program is "PRG". This allows the X5 to recieve MidiBank Select messages as well as program change messages.
