TO MULTIRECORD FROM AN EXTERNAL SEQUENCER!!!!! 1. The device ( external sequencer ) you wish to record from must be defined in your current studio setup; make sure the device is assigned as a controller and set to send midi beat clocks. 2. In the "options" menu , set receive sync mode to "external" ; set the Receive Sync Device to to the device name of your external sequencer( if you have studio 4 or midi time piece select those instead) make sure "Send Sync Enabled" is not checked. 4. Open the Record Filter in "Setup" and Choose "All Except", then check "tempo" . 5. Record enable a track and then press play on your external sequencer. Obviously you will need to extract the data !!! The new track will automatically be assigned to "multi", indicating the track contains multichannel data. If you select "Seperate Multitrack" from the Edit window, each channel will be placed in it's own track. |
