If you are having problems getting the DM80 to recognize external hard drives attached to the scsi bus you will need to enable the "terminator power" by closing the appropriate jumper on the drive mechanism. The "terminator power" jumper will differ from drive to drive so look for "TP" or "TRM PWR". This will allow you to use an external passive terminator so don't enable termination on the drive mechanism. Look me up if you have additional questions.
