Q:
Getting mystry track IDs!
A:
Digital Auto Track Increment
The CDR615 offers coaxial SPDIF (IEC-958II) for taking advantage of the auto increment feature from a digital source. In order to use the digital SPIDF format, the digital source must comply fully with IEC958 type II. In the instance that the output sampling frequency of your digital source varies or your Dat is experiencing high level of jitter, during the record process you may experience additional track increments appearing on your recorded disc. In order to minimize this from occurring, we suggest that you engage the CDR615 sample rate converter on or use an accessory sample rate converter during all digital recordings. You can engage the CDR 615 sample rate converter through three different means; 1) Have your master material prepared at different sampling frequency other than 44.1 Khz. 2) Purchase the optional wired remote control, RC620CDR, available from superscope. The RC620CDR remote control allows you to utilize enhanced operations of your CDR615, including manually locking the sample rate converter on Via one of its many control switches. 3) If your master material has been recorded at 44.1 Khz, you can electrically lock the SRC on. One example if how you can do this is set your CDR615 auto-1 preset to "ON". Power your Dat off and then on with no tape inserted. At this point the default sampling frequency of your Dat should be 48Khz. Place your CDR615 in the record pause mode by pressing the record button once. The SRC will lock on, you may then insert your master tape into the Dat, press play and begin the recording. For specifications and/or corrective action regarding output variances or jitter please refer to the owners manual for your source machine or contact the manufacturer directly.
