Q:
Take 6 Requirements

A:
It's already happened several times now......

A K2000 customer who does not have P-RAM was sold a Take 6 CD-ROM.

The Sales Engineer didn't see the boldfaced warning on the green Kurzweil Options Letter which says:

Note: K2000 owners also need Ver. 3.18 or higher and P-RAM to use Take 6 CD-ROM.

The customer unfortunately didn't see the very big bright yellow oval sticker on the front of the Take 6 CD-ROM that says:

Requires PRAM & OS V3.18 or higher for use with K2000

And now he's very surprised that it doesn't work with his P-RAM-less K2000.

To be fair, this requirement was not posted in the Inventory Record. It was only on the green sheet. (I made sure that this has been added.)

In the future I will try to make sure that someone puts all of the requirements found in the green sheets into the Inventory Records. But just to be safe, you might want to glance at that green sheet now and then when you sell a customer a Kurzweil related product. _FIZBIN_ (Sales, Techs)

I've received an update from Kurzweil. Although it is not stated anywhere, the K2500 can not load *all* of the Macros unless it has P-RAM2 installed.

Previously I was told that only the K2000 needed P-RAM (and version 3.18 or higher) to load Macros. (K2vx already has both.)

Now I'm told that a "slew" of the larger Take 6 Macros won't load into a K2500 without P-RAM2. The person I spoke to was unable to put an exact number to "slew".

Does anyone here own a K2500/K2500R without P-RAM2? Would you be interested in doing a test for me? _FIZBIN_
