Check OUTPUT cable as well as the INPUT cable!

The Meters on this unit are on the OUTPUTS. This is a design decision which makes very good sense. You want to know what signal is coming OUT of the unit not what signal is coming IN. Hence; you should connect this unit is SERIES instead of in PARALLEL with the signal you are measuring.
