These no longer contain a zip drive with the VS880 software. If you sell a VSCDR to a VS880 owner the customer will need a computer with midi capability. The update software is now sent as a MIDI file on a DOS floppy.

VS880 and VSCDR - The VS880 must have a software update to work correctly with the CD recorder. Roland in all their infinite wisdom have decided to not include this software with the VSCDR. To get this software Roland has posted it free of charge on their web site. You will need a MIDI sequencer capable of reading SMF to load it into the VS880.
If your customer does not have a computer but has a ZIP drive, they can buy the SU24Z VS880 system disk on ZIP format( its in inventory) and load the software from the ZIP drive.
