The VS1680 and the DA30mkII do not play well with each other! - The VS1680 will not lock to the digital input from a DA30MKII.

The problem is caused by a capacitor in the vs1680 which does not measure up to the tolerance required by the DA30MKII.

If you are experiencing problems getting input in from a DA30MKII, make sure you have the latest os (2.002). If the problem persists, you may have to take the machine (VS1680) into an authorized Roland service center for the modification. This is a free modification.

MOD:

Mount a 10pF ceramic capacitor from IC21 pin 2 to ground.
