Q:
Clippings and default tempo Digital Performer by MOTU
A:
Q: when I audition MIDI clippings, they often playback much faster than originally created. They do not correspond to the tempo of the currently opened sequence. They do, however resolve to the tempo of that sequence when placed into a track in the sequence. is this a known characteristic?
A: Yes. MIDI clippings currently audition at 120 BPM, DP's default setting. A suggestion has been made to MOTU's development team that the Conductor track info that was copied into the clipping define audition tempo.
