There is a confirmed incompatibility between Apple's iMovie 2 and Digidesign's Pro Tools LE and TDM hardware systems when using the Digidesign Control Panel to route iMovie 2's Sound Manager audio through the Digidesign hardware. With the Digidesign Control Panel installed and Apple Sound Control Panel Output set to "Digidesign", clicking on the "Audio" tab in iMovie 2 will produce a loud digital hash signal from the main outputs of your Digidesign hardware.

To avoid this issue:
* Audio previewing in iMovie 2 should be done through the Mac Speaker Output

* Set the Apple Sound Control Panel Output to "Built-in" prior to launching iMovie 2
