Q:
OS versions & old sounds patches
A:
Earliest version of K2000 (OS v1.0) has different patches than v1.3 and higher. Samples are the same. If a customer wants to upgrade and has v1.0 they must save their sounds on disk to have them after the upgrade. If it's v1.3 or higher, they will stay the same. To save a rom program in ram and then on disk, go to each program you wish to save, hit edit, change any parameter, then change it back to its old value, hit exit, and save as a ram program (i.e. save as program 200.) You may now go to disk mode and save this bank of ram, which is a copy of the rom bank for recall later.
