Q:
When you bounce to disc using digital performer under MAS it creates 2 mono files. I know Jam will deal with split stereo, does Toast work the same way? when you drag one file into the playlist, it knows to go get the other.
A:
Toast only works with "single" files, like mono files, or interleaved files (interleaved stereo SDII, AIFF, etc). If you drag a split stereo file (audio-1.L & audio-1.R) they will play one after the other.
Here's how to fix that in DP: - after bouncing the stereo file (two mono SDII files get created), click the file name in the Soundbites window, so that it is highlighted. - from the Soundbites mini-menu, choose Export Selected bites. - choose a destination (hard drive and/or folder) for the exported file & a new name if you like. THEN select one of the following in the FORMAT field: Interleaved SDII, AIFF, windows WAV. (Interleaved SDII is recommended)
