Q:
I'm getting faint pops and clicks in audio when I use a PowerCore plug-ins on my Mac and PCI324 system (2408, 1224, 24i), etc.
Conflict between PowerCore and PCI324 card.
A:
TC Electronics is reporting some minor issues with PCI bandwidth between the PowerCore and PCI324 cards. This is attributed to the fact that audio must be routed from the PCI324, to the Powercore, and back again.
Here are some suggestions for reducing noise (usually clicks and pops in audio): 1. Disable _unused_ inputs and outputs inc PCI324 console. For example, if you're only using "bank A" on your 2408, turn off "inputs", and "output sources" on bank B & C. 2. Avoid using PCI video (monitor) cards. TC recommends using AGP video cards only.
