Q:
Q: I have Logic Audio Silver authorized on my hard drive. I want to reformat the drive. How can I do this without losing my authorization?
A:
A: You must de-authorize Logic Audio Silver before formatting the drive. Here's how you do it:
* Step 1: Open Logic Audio Silver. * Step 2: Click on the "File" menu and select "Preferences". Go to the "Global" section of Preferences. * Step 3: Place the original authorization disk in the floppy drive. You must use this disk. * Step 4: You will see a line labeled "Disk Protection", with a button to the right labeled "Deinstall". Press the button. You should see a few seconds of drive activity, and then Logic Audio Silver will close. This indicates that you have successfully removed the authorization safely back to the floppy disk. You may reauthorize at any future time.
