Q:
On the 1604-VLZ PRO, can I get effects into the stage monitors without returning my effects to channels?
A:
A: Yes! Although it's a nifty trick, returning your effects to channels instead of Aux Returns isn't always desirable. Just plug your effects returns into Aux Returns 1 and 2. There are two "Efx to Monitor" controls in the Master section that let you send Aux Ret 1 to Aux Send 1 and Aux Ret 2 to Aux Send 2. This way, you could route the reverb to one stage mix and delay to the other -- or with a single effect, route to both stage mixes. This frees up those extra channel strips for additional instruments.
