What’s the difference between the 1604-VLZ PRO and, say, a 1404-VLZ PRO?

A: Number of inputs, and routing options. We could get crazy describing all those, but as far as mic pre’s, frequency response, etc, they are very similar. The technology is essentially the same. Oh, and the cool roto-pod on the 1604-VLZ PRO®.
