Q:
How do I hook up an effects processor to my 1402-VLZ PRO?
A:
A: This setup is called a parallel effects loop, because we will be sending a copy of the original "dry" signal to the processor and mixing the "wet," or processed signal, with the "dry" signal in the Main Mix. Connect an Aux Send to the Left or Mono Line Input on your processor. Patch the Left and Right "wet" Outputs from the processor to the left and right Aux Returns on the mixer. Now, turn up the Aux Send knob on the channel you want to process. If there is an Aux Send Master for that Aux turn it up to unity. Turn up the input level on your processor for a line level signal. Turn up the output on your processor to unity. Turn the Aux Return knob on your mixer up to the desired level of effects you want to hear in the Main Mix. (This process is also explained in detail on pages 12-13 of your owner’s manual.)
