Should I turn them off from the front or the back? What’s the difference between the 2 power switches?
 
A:
The power mode switch on the rear panel of the HR824 is the master power switch. The power switch on the front of the HR824 has no effect if the power mode switch on the rear panel is in the off position. If the power mode switch on the rear panel is in the on position, the power switch on the front will turn the HR824 on and off. If the power mode switch on the rear panel is in the auto position, the power switch on the front will turn HR824 on and off if signal is being run through the speakers.
