digitech RP5: I can't get the optional expression pedal to work. I'm using the recommended DOD FX17. Maybe I'm connecting it wrong. What's wrong?

Start by connecting the output of the FX17 to the pedal input on the RP5. Do not connect anything to the input on the FX17. Be sure to use the optional AC power supply for the FX17. It will not send sufficient voltage when used with a battery alone. Finally, edit your presets and assign the CC Pedal type to one of the CC numbers (1-8) printed on the RP5's grid.
