Q:
How do I send different voice/patches thru the different outputs of my K2600?
A:
This machine is intricately different than it's predecessor. First of all, everything goes thru the KDFX architecture. In the earlier machines (K2000,K2500) the KDFX was not built in standard, it had to be added - which meant there had to be a separate route thru which all sound had to be sent thru. But with the K2600, KDFX comes preinstalled. So with that being said, You must first understand the KDFX studio.
Since everything goes thru KDFX and KDFX sends everything thru what it calls "A Studio" then we first set up a default SETUP by: Hit the effects button this brings you to the KDFX main page Hit the CTRL button this brings you the CTRL page.. on this page you'll find a parameter that says "FXCtrl" and this should be set to MASTER and not the default AUTO Hit Exit once to go back one screen which takes you back to the main screen and the "Studio" parameter. Turn to or punch in the number 198 which brings you to the PRE-Kdfx Studio this studio is blank from any effects that are applied or set per bus. In other words, each bus is dry. Now Exit out into the ProgramMode Now Hit the Midi Button which brings you into the the TRANSMIT page, hit the CHANNELS button and you will see 2 PARAMETERs that say OUTPair and OUTgain You can now choose which OUTPUT you want to send it thru and at what gain structure you want to send it
