Q:
Can I use the pre-sets on my Blue Max for other things than the described uses that are in the owner’s manual?
A:
Blue Max users are encouraged to experiment as wildly or as tamely as they would like. I find the vocal pre-set #1 for ballads to be an ideal setting for acoustic guitar parts that have both arpeggios and strummed passages. This type of guitar part has a similar dynamic range that might be encountered with a vocalist performing a ballad. The quieter passages with single note picking being similar to the quieter vocal in a verse and the big full strumming parts akin to a chorus being belted out by a singer. The pre-sets are all extremely useful for the suggested applications and any other application that might seem intuitively similar. Think in terms of the dynamics that you will encounter and an appropriate pre-set will, undoubtedly, suggest itself to you.
