Q:
How do I connect my DSR-1000 series duplicator to my PC?

A:
Turn on the DSR1000 and wait for the start up sequence to complete. Once this is done, hold down the button on the control unit until it beeps three times. Then remove the terminator from the scsi connector located on the back of the unit. Attach one end of the scsi cable to the connector on the DSR1000 and the other end to the scsi card in your computer. Boot up your computer and the drives in the DSR1000 will be available for use. NOTE: The scsi ID's of the drives in the DSR1000 are set to 0 for the reader and 1, 2 and 3 for the recorders (depending on how many recorders are in your system). These scsi id's are set by jumpers on the drives, NOT the scsi id switches on the back of the enclosure. You must make sure that there are no scsi id conflicts with other scsi devices on your computer. The scsi id's must be kept at these settings in the DSR1000 in order for it to work correctly in the standalone mode.
