Q:
Why isn't Pro Tools resolving to a tape striped with LTC/VITC that I received from a European studio?
A:
Most likely the tape was striped at 25 frames per second (fps). In order to play this tape back at the correct rate you will need a PAL sync box that generates 25 fps of black burst. You can currently change between PAL and NTSC via the USD Setup v5.01 using the video format parameter or from the Front Panel of the USD. To change between NTSC and PAL from the front panel.
* Press SET, * Press UP or DOWN to get to Video Sys Window, * then press SET to get to NTSC/PAL setting. * Press UP or DOWN to choose NTSC or PAL.
