Q:
When I place a new SmartMedia card in my PS02, the message "Card Err" appears.
A:
1. Try to "Force Format" the new card:
- Turn the PS02 OFF
- While holding down the [REC] key and the [STORE(Execute)] key, turn the power ON.
- Press [STORE(Execute)] , you should see the message "Sure?"
- Press [STORE(Execute)] again. You should see "FMTING" flashing
2. Clean the metal contacts on the SmartMedia card with a soft, non abrasive cloth
3. Make sure it's a 3.3 volt card.
4. Have the card replaced.
