Q:
Adding Insert Effects
A:
Insert effects are typically recorded onto an individual track. Insert effects differ from
Global effects by combining the control of the dry and effected signals onto a single fader, but the procedure is very similar to adding Global effects. 1. Assign FX Return to inputs – In the ASSIGN mode select FX RTN [F1] and select between 1 MIXED STEREO return or 2 STEREO PAIR. Selecting 1 MIXED STEREO allows THRU MIX inputs 5 and 6 to be used as a single stereo return. Selecting 2 STEREO PAIR provides two separate stereo returns via THRU MIX inputs 3, 4 and 5, 6. 2. Assign FX Returns to THRU MIX – Select THRU [F2] from the ASSIGN mode. Using the cursor to scroll down the list, make sure all FX RTN’s are routed to the THRU MIX.
