If I am using Digital Performer with TDM hardware(DAE Mode), can I use RTAS plugins along side TDM plugins like you can with ProTools?

No. Unfortunatley Digital Performer does not support RTAS plugins in any way. You will need to use the TDM version of that plugin if available.
