Why won't Cakewalk open some of the MIDI files I downloaded from the Internet?

Cakewalk is pretty robust when it comes to opening various file formats. So when it cannot open a file it usually means the file may be corrupted or it contains some
bad data such as an illegal value. Try opening the file in the Windows 95 Media Player. If it cannot open the song it may be unsalvageable.
