Q:
How can I sync my MIDI sequencer to the HD24?
A:
Any sequencer that can read MIDI Time Code can receive it from the ADAT HD24's rear-panel MIDI OUT jack. Configure your sequencer to synchronize to MIDI Time Code (MTC). (MIDI
Clock and Song Position Pointer are not currently supported.) Configure the HD24 to transmit MTC at the proper frame rate (via its MIDI pages), and you will be all set. Don't forget to disable MIDI echo on the sequencer! Typically, you would also connect MIDI OUT from the sequencer to the MIDI IN of the HD24, and configure the sequencer to transmit MIDI Machine Control (MMC) commands.
