The way the midi is sent across the USB and the way the Giga engine handles it, it will work, but it will add 5-9 ms of latency typically. A better idea is to use a parallel port midi interface - they work well. Even slightly better is to use a serial midi interface or one built onto your PCI audio card for the fastest and most trouble-free operation.
