Q:
When burning cd with Jam at 1x speed , I get a error message:
"Error-9356 connection not stable. please check cables and scsi. Disc failed to be written"
Under the check speed menu, all speeds except 12x are italicized, however the burner writes at 12x with no problems.
A:
This seems to be a Firmware issue with the “Lite On” mechanisms that are in the G4 733mhz Quicksilver's and Jam 2.6.2. They burn Fine at 12X , but are not supported at lower speeds.
Solution: Burn at 12X! Its up to Jam or Apple to update the Software/Hardware . * This has also been found on other Quicksiver and "Mirror drive door" G4's with Combo drives and Superdrives.
