Why won't my 828 work on my Pentium3 system with Windows 2000 or XP?

If you have a Matrox G400 card, there might be a problem with the video card and the 828.

Problem: 828 control panel indicates no problem, software does not record. Playback might run for 1/2 second, then quits.

System stats:
Windows 2000 SP2, Windows XP
Dual PIII, Intel 840 chipset
