Q:
How to I change the tempo of a soundbite? How I get a sounbite to be the same tempo as my sequence?
A:
Using SET SOUNDBITE TEMPO & ADJUST SOUNDBITE TO SEQUENCE TEMPO.
1. Import the Soundbite and place it on a stereo track. 2. Highlight the Sounbite, and choose "Set Soundbite Tempo" a. If you know the tempo of the soundbite, simply type it in and press OK -OR- b. If you have a shorter soundbite, like 4 - 8 bars, AND you know it's an exact length (say 4 bars), type the length in beats = 16|000 in the soundbite tempo window. You'll notice that the Tempo field changes appropriately. Click OK. * This only works well with shorter soundbites. 6. Set the sequence's Tempo Slider to the NEW tempo you desire. 7. With the soundbite still highlighted, choose "Adjust Soundbites to Sequence tempo. The soundbite will be time compressed or expanded to match the new tempo. Refer to pages 547-549 of the DP3 User guide for more info. |
