Q:
Why can't I open my ASIO control panel for my MOTU audio device from within Steinberg Cubase?
A:
Try going into your Windows control panel, Multimedia (in Win98) or Sounds & Multimedia (in ME, 2k) or Sounds & Audio (WinXP) and go to Preferred Playback Device. Change this to something other than your MOTU. Do the same for your Preferred Recording Device. You will need to reboot your machine. This has been known to solve the problem, but not in all cases.
