Pro Audio Support

Q:
I'm experiencing problems with DP3 and my Midiman/MAudio Delta hardware

A:
The first thing we recommend doing, is updating all applicable software and drivers. Verify that the following items have these versions:
Digital Performer = 3.02
MOTU Audio system = 2.33
FreeMIDI = 1.47 (still a part of the system even if you're not using it)
Delta AudioPhile = 2.0.0
* (You can download these drivers for free from motu.com and midiman.com)

Also, be sure that the ONLY item in Digital Performer's ASIO drivers folder is the Delta ASIO v3 driver. It is important that DP use the v3 driver.

The second thing to do, would be to perform a clean reinstall of the Delta Audiophile drivers. Use Sherlock2 from the apple menu to find "delta". trash all Delta items you find (except driver installers), and restart the computer. Then simply reinstall the latest driver, and reconfigure the card using the delta control panel.

Then create a custom extensions set by following the steps below:
a. From the Apple Menu, choose the "Control Panels" pop-up, and click EXTENSIONS MANAGER.
b. Click the name next to "Selected Set", and choose "MAC OS 9.X BASE".
c. Click "Duplicate Set" at the bottom right corner of the Extensions Manager window. Name the duplicate set when prompted... something like MOTU, or RECORDING.
d. If your MOTU hardware and software is already installed, you'll need to go through the list in Extensions Manager, and turn the following items back ON (place an X in the box next to each item:
- any FREEMIDI item
- any MOTU item
- any Delta, or Audiophile item
- Open Music System (if it's there)
e. Use the Restart button at the bottom of the window to restart and make this extensions set active.
