Q:
How do I install new sounds into my Command Station? Can I do it myself or does it need to be sent to an E-MU service center?
A:
Command Stations are completely user serviceable when it comes to installing Sound ROMs, it's quick and easy to do. First, unplug the power cord, then flip the unit over and set it on a pillow or other soft surface. Next remove all of the screws on the bottom of the unit and remove the cover. Inside you'll see three empty slots next to a full one (which has the Sound ROM your Command Station shipped with). Gently insert the new Sound ROM into an empty slot (they only fit one way, just like SIMM memory sticks) and lock it in place. Put the cover back on, and you're ready to play!
