When I play a sound in Voice or Performance, I get an effect, but when I use the same voice in Song or Pattern mode the effect is not there.

This has to do with the insertion effect. If you have the organ on say track 3, then within Song or Pattern, press "Mixing", "Edit", "F6". Then change it from part 01 to part 03. If the organ is on track 5, change it from part 01 to part 05.
