Some installers accidentally place the plugin for MAS into the MOTU folder, but not inside the Plugins folder within that MOTU folder. This can be corrected by simply moving the plugin to the right folder.

Drag from : System Folder > Extensions > MOTU

Drag to : System Folder > Extensions > MOTU > Plugins

(The plugins folder is inside the the MOTU folder)
