Q:
The Volume level on some of my imported Akai samples is low. Why?
A:
Sometimes Akai samples are imported at a level of -6 db. Setting the 'Level' parameter of the Sample to 0 db will raise the volume and allow for greater 'MIX' control in the Voice mode.
Checking and Setting the Level Parameter: 1) Press the [INTEGRATED SAMPLING] button. 2) Press the [EDIT] button. 3) Press the [F3] button to display the 'Parameter' page. The 'Level' value should be highlighted and displayed in decibels (dB). 4) Check the 'Level' value. If the value is lower than '-0.0dB' (Example: -1.0dB, -2.0dB, ... -12dB), proceed to step 5. 5) Turn the (DIAL) Dial to raise the 'Level' value to '-0.0dB'. |
