UPDATING THE VM-C7100/C7200 DIGITAL MIXER
WITH STANDARD MIDI FILES

The 7000-Series V-Mixing System can be user-updated
to add new features and to install the latest system version available from Roland Corporation. The update is available as 30 Standard MIDI Files. NOTE: The VM-C7100/C7200 Console and the VM-7100/7200 Processor run on their own respective Operating Systems and need to be updated seperately. The tools required are: 1) MIDI sequencer (software or hardware) that can load and playback Standard Midi Files containing System Exclusive information. Note: It is convenient to use a MIDI sequencer that can playback SMF data consecutively. 2) MIDI cable 3) VM-C7100/C7200 V-Mixing System Software update disk(s) 4) VM-C7100/C7200 V-Mixing Console ** VM-C7100/C7200 Console SMF Update Procedure ** 1) Use the MIDI cable to connect the MIDI OUT port of the sequencer to the MIDI IN port of the VM-C7100/C7200 Console. 2) Hold down [PROJECT](SYSTEM) and [F6] while powering the console ON. When "****" appears in the LCD screen, release the buttons. 3) When "Waiting MIDI Exclusive Data" appears in the display, playback the SMF data in sequential order. "Receiving MIDI Exclusive Data" appears in the display for every file received. 4) When all the SMF data has been played back and the screen displays "Waiting MIDI Exclusive Data", turn off the power of the VM-C7100/C7200. 5) Reboot (power OFF then ON) to exit the TEST MODE.
